Receiving a message about Windows 7 being end of life?

If you are currently using Windows 7 you would of recently seen a warning message pop up to advise that this version of Windows will no longer receive important security updates or fixes for other issues that pop up making any user - personal or enterprise - significantly more susceptible to malware attacks.

What do you need to do?

Firstly if you are using an older computer it may not be able to run Windows 10 so it maybe time to look at upgrading to a newer one that already has windows 10 installed and ready to go. You can see the requirements for Windows 10 here https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/windows/windows-10-specifications#primaryR2

Most computers that are under 6 years old should be able to run windows 10 so the best option here is to look at buying a copy of windows 10 and upgrading your computer via the included instructions so you then know you are using a supported version of windows that will be more secure than staying on the older Windows 7.

If this all seems like a bit to much to handle yourself then why not book our Windows 10 upgrade package that includes Windows 10 Home version and we come pick it up and drop it off once the upgrade has been completed. Normal turn around time for this service is 3-4 working days and we recommend that you back up all your important documents and photos on the computer before we come to collect it.

You can also book a normal tech support session if you want us to show you how to drive the new version of Windows.

Use booking code WINDOWS25 to get a $25.00 discount if you make a booking before the 25/02/2020 and don't forget that we do also offer interest free payment options with Genopay click here to see more info and to set up a free account with them.
